Harvey Homes is delighted to announce that its show home at Swan Green in Knutsford is now open for viewings following guidance from the government easing the lockdown restrictions on England’s housing market.

The 4-bedroom show house at the development in the village of Lower Peover is now open and available at the following times:

  • Monday – Friday: Appointments only. Interested buyers should contact the team at 0161 468 2728 or email hello@harvey-homes.co.uk to organise a viewing.
  • Saturday: 10 – 4pm
  • Sunday: 11 – 4pm

Social distancing guidelines will still be followed during viewings as the safety of Harvey Homes’ staff and customers remains the top priority.

Cheshire-based interior design company, Marie Charnley interiors, designed the four-bedroom detached house to show off its many features, including the vaulted ceilings of the bedrooms, Juliette Balconies and spacious living areas.

All the homes at Swan Green, including the affordable housing units, offer generous bedroom sizes as well as large living spaces where families can come together to dine, cook and relax.

50% of all the homes at the development have now been purchased or reserved, with several having been reserved since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. Construction at the site restarted last week (Monday, 4thMay), with appropriate public health measures being adopted.

The announcement about the property market came from The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government at 10pm last night (Tuesday, 12th May) and stated that:

‘From today [sic] anyone in England can move home if they follow new guidance published by Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick.

Since lockdown restrictions were implemented in March, more than 450,000 people have been unable to progress their plans to move house.

All buyers and renters will now be able to complete purchases and view properties in person, while estate agents, conveyancers and removals firms can return to work while following social distancing guidelines.’

Jenrick also commented that:

“Today [sic] I am announcing new guidelines to allow the housing market to resume. Our clear plan will enable people to move home safely, covering each aspect of the sales and letting process from viewings to removals.

“Our step by step plan is based on the latest guidance to ensure the safety and protection of everyone involved.

“This critical industry can now safely move forward, and those waiting patiently to move can now do so.”
